Who said Morrisons wasn’t the best supermarket for vegans?
The new Morrisons Market Kitchen has opened in Camden, serving up ‘indulgent vegan food’ that can convert any meat-eater.
On the menu, you can find plant-based burgers with fresh slaw and oozy vegan cheese sauce, loaded vegan hot dogs and dirty vegan fries. Anyone else drooling already?
The new store offers customers the option to come in and pick up their dirty vegan food to-go, or order on Deliveroo from the comfort of their own homes.
Previous versions of this style of Market Kitchen have been opened in Canning Town, Manchester and Birmingham, but this is the first to offer vegan junk food.
The concept is a temporary store open while the main store in Chalk Farm is being rebuilt, a process which will take a few years. However, elements of the temporary store which are successful will be included in the rebuild.
A special temporary store
Speaking to The Grocer, Camden store manager Michael Burnett said:
“We are pleased to open our temporary store while our existing store is being rebuilt. We know it involves some changes for our customers but we are excited to be able to offer our Market Street meals to our customers.
“The chefs use our fresh Market Street ingredients to create these delicious seasonal meals that are made to order for our customers.”
While the new concept has a much smaller range of supermarket stock than it’s counterparts, it still has plant-based meat, snacks and desserts so you won’t have to go without your vegan essentials!
The new vegan junk street food will be available in-store and for delivery via Deliveroo from next week.
