I’ve been vegan for over a year and have been doing strength workouts for many years before that. Since going vegan I have learned a lot about nutrition and what to eat and how much of it in order to grow muscle and I actually got some very good results – at times my body looked better than it had ever looked.
Where I am finding problems however is in keeping those gains. I feel like they go away within days if I slightly change my routine, ie if I even slightly don’t follow the meal plan I have or if I exercise just a bit less for a couple of weeks – which I sometimes have to if I’m on holidays or if I have to be away for whatever reason. So I would like to ask any of you working on muscle growth / strength training if you have any advice on how to maintain those gains: any supplements, recommendations, or general advice would be appreciated.
