While Cardi B doesn’t consider herself to be vegan, the star began to introduce more plant-based foods into her diet during her pregnancy with her first child to improve her health.
To celebrate the launch, Whipshots are releasing 500 cans a day online throughout December, with stocks selling out quickly.
While some alcoholic beverages are clearly not vegan-friendly, it can often be hard to spot vegan and non-vegan drinks.
There are a number of hidden ingredients added to alcoholic drinks, such as beer and wine, that make them not suitable for vegans.
Ingredients such as gelatin, isinglass (derived from fish bladders), and pepsin (a foaming agent in beer sometimes derived from pigs) are often added to popular beverages.
Thankfully, a number of alcohol brands such as Koppaberg, Guinness, and Rekordelig have ditched the nasty stuff and made their products 100% vegan.
In addition, supermarkets have begun to introduce more vegan-friendly beverages, with M&S committing to making all its wine vegan by 2022.
Furthermore, to make sure your favourite tipple is vegan friendly, we recommend using Barnivore.
