Serves: 7 cups


  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • ½ cup peanuts or almonds
  • ½ cup unroasted cashews
  • ½ cup popping corn
  • ¼ cup shredded, unsweetened coconut, elective
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp cayenne
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  1. Warmth the oil in a big, broad pot with a tight-fitting lid. Sauté turmeric, cumin, sesame seeds, peanuts, and cashews over medium warmth for 1 to 2 minutes till fragrant however no more than very calmly coloured.
