Home made gluten free Vegan noodles served with black chickpea curry . Prepare these with Millet flour, Rice flour , Amaranth flour or with buckwheat flour : veganfitness


Ingredients for Black gram / Black chickpeas : Black gram – 2 Cups Salt – 2 tsp Cumin pwd – 1 tsp Turmeric pwd – 1/2 tsp Coriander pwd – 2 tsp Edible oil – 1-2 tsp ( optional ) Cumin seeds – 1 tsp Asafoetida pwd – 1 tsp Red chillies – 2-3 Bay leaves – 2 Black Cardamoms – 2 Ginger crushed or grated – 1 tsp Garlic crushed – 1 tsp Tomato puree – 1 + 1/2 Cup Gooseberry or Amla pwd – 1 tsp Garam masala – 1 tsp Chaat masala – 1tsp ( optional ) Coriander seeds pwd – 2 tsp Mango pwd – 1 tsp

Ingredients for string hoppers :

Rice powder – 2 cups Water – more than 2 cups Edible oil – 2-3 tbsp Salt Blue pea Matcha pwd – 1 or 2 tsp

I have shown Rice Iddiyappam. However you can try other healthy varieties as well.

Recipe for Home made Noodles

🛑Barnyard millet IDDIYAPPAM 😋😋

2 cups of barnyard millet flour roasted (washed once and soak for 6-8 hrs and sundry before making the flour).

Bring 2 +1/2 CUPS OF WATER to boil. Add the flour , pinch of salt or acc to taste and few drops of oil.

Mix well when it start getting lumpy turn of the gas and cover for ten mins.

Knead well for few mins make sure it’s not too soft. keep it aside.
