Looking to up my diet for working out. : veganfitness

I’ve been an on again, off again vegetarian for years. Last June I became vegan and never looked back.

two years again I gained 30 pounds. I’m working on shedding the weight off, but I think I’m having trouble with my diet. I eat too large a portion… I love food hahaha.

I typically eat quinoa, beans, broccoli, spinach, avocado toast, Cereal, curry, sweet potatoes… I know that’s a wide range of food lol but that’s it ?

I cut out junk food snacks. If I crave any I have apple slices with peanutbutter, steamed broccoli, sautéed spinach..

I guess I’m just looking for suggestions for a diet to help my body tighten.

My exercise looks like: running / walking 2 miles 3-4 days a week, belly dancing for one day, soccer for one day. I also throw in some abdominal workouts and glute exercises (I have weak hips so my knees hurt from time to time). Used to be big on yoga but haven’t found the time to get back into it.
