My B12 has dropped despite supplementing



I’ve been vegetarian for about 15 years but around December I had some bad blood tests results that made me re-examine my diet and make the switch to (mostly) vegan. One of these blood tests showed my B12 was pretty low so I started taking a vegan multivitamin with 9 μg of B12.

I got my blood tests redone today after 4 months and my “active B12” test shows a further drop. Is my multi vit a bit shit or is there something else? My doc hasn’t flagged it as I’m not deficient yet but I was expecting it to go up not down after 4 months of supplements!
