Pre workout?



I’ve always been active but I’m only recently getting serious about my goals. I work out first thing in the morning. I’m struggling with energy and am interested in a pre workout boost, but I’m feeling overwhelmed with information- can anyone suggest something simple I can eat to help with this? I don’t have a huge budget and I’d like to stay away from caffeine if possible.
