Prevent food headaches : veganfitness


Greetings!
Longtime vegan, recent recoverer from chronic insomnia.

I can feel my appetite starting to ease up since I got my sleep schedule under control and I’m working hard to avoid eating if I’m not hungry, since I can trust my metabolism a little more now.

I live in fear of food headaches and in the past would eat periodically even without being hungry just to ensure I wouldn’t trigger a headache. Once I get one, it’s very hard to make it go away.

I nursed a carrot/ ginger/ orange/ turmeric smoothie throughout the day yesterday which did a good job of stabilizing my blood sugar.

Do you guys have any similar foods you use to keep from overeating that are good for healthy blood sugar levels? Bonus points if I can make it ahead and freeze it.
