Push Up Routine : veganfitness


Hi there,

So I’ve been in the military for 5 years now and I have always struggled with building up enough stamina to perform well on the pushup portion of the PRT (fitness test). Never have a problem with sit-ups or the upcoming plank. Run is solid too.

I’ve been all shapes and sizes, followed standard lifting routines and even found a passion in gymnast rings (which is honestly the strongest my upper body has ever been) but I’ve still never been able to perform more than 50 push-ups during the PRT. Usually my average being 38-40. So I guess what I’m looking for is wtf am I not doing? 🙃 any tips or tell alls would be greatly appreciated.
