Snack brand Well&Truly launches its first vegan chocolate bars made with oat milk

Known for its range of wickedly addictive crisps, Well&Truly is making its first foray into the world of vegan chocolate with its new range of oat milk chocolate bars.

Joining the brand’s range of savoury snacks are three indulgent flavours: Oat M&lk, Salted Caramel, and Caramelised Hazelnuts.

As well as being supremely creamy and utterly delicious, Well&Truly’s vegan chocolate bars are also gluten-free, non-GMO and kosher.

Moreover, Well&Truly’s vegan chocolate bars are entirely plastic-free and come in fully recyclable packaging and are priced at £2.99.

Oat milk chocolate

It’s no surprise that Well&Truly has chosen oat milk as the base for its new line of vegan chocolate bars.

Oat milk has soared in popularity in recent years, with vegans and non-vegans alike ditching dairy in favour of this sustainable, creamy alternative.

In fact, according to Sara Trechman, co-founder of Well&Truly, sales of oat milk have surged “more than 70%” in the last year.

But oat milk doesn’t just make a great cup of tea, it also makes the perfect, creamy base for vegan chocolate bars.

According to the company, the smoothness of oat milk pairs beautifully with fine Colombian cocoa to create vegan chocolate with the taste and texture of premium milk chocolate.

Vegan chocolate alternatives

In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, Sara explained that the company was inspired to expand into the world of chocolate to offer consumers more vegan chocolate alternatives.

Sara said: “Existing plant-based chocolate options to date have mainly consisted of high-quality dark chocolate with a cocoa content of 50% or more.

“Now, due to oat milk’s creamy consistency, plant-based consumers can indulge in a range of milk chocolates too.”

You can get your hands on the new Well&Truly vegan chocolate bars online now. Alternatively, the vegan chocolate bars will soon be stocked in major retailers including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Ocado.
