I finally accepted that to gain any notable amount of muscle/strength, I'm going to have to eat more lol. I'm a 5'9-10" female, and I'm now eating about 2,200 calories and . I also do Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu in addition to weight training 6 times a week, but it's usually not very demanding unless I make it that way.
Anyway, I've found that bulking makes me uncomfortable. I've been sticking to it, but I'm a week and a half in and I'm having some serious bloating issues. I also used to be borderline obese, and eating in a surplus every day brings me back to the days when I would constantly overeat and not feel good. These two problems together are really making it hard to continue. I know gaining fat is inevitable, but it scares me.
Does anyone have any advice?
