Barcelona-based vegan meat model Heura lately gained the distinguished 2020 Entrepreneur of the 12 months Award given by Spanish journal Emprendedores de España. Since then, the corporate has launched a wide range of merchandise together with hen, burgers, meatballs, and pizza. In April, Heura introduced that it has grown by 450 % in 2020 and at present provides its merchandise at 3,000 factors of sale in Spain, Andorra, Portugal, France, the Netherlands, Singapore, Hong Kong, Chile, and the UK.
In February, Heura secured a $271,000 investment from Spanish government-backed NEOTEC Program of the Middle for Industrial Technological Improvement. By means of the two-year program, the corporate plans to proceed to meet its mission of democratizing entry to plant-based meals to feed what Añaños calls the “post-meat technology.”
